Barcelona beat 4-0, Liverpool to Champions League Final


Liverpool to the 2018/2019 Champions League final. In the second leg of the semi-final, the Reds beat Barcelona 4-0 and were entitled to the final with a 4-3 aggregate advantage.

At Anfield Stadium on Wednesday (05/08/2019), Liverpool, who lost 0-3 at Camp Nou, immediately excelled since the seventh minute. Divock Origi opened the tap of the Red goal, and a 1-0 advantage lasted until the break.


In the second half, Liverpool added three goals through two goals from Gioginio Wijnaldum in the 54th and 56th minutes, and one more goal from Origi in the 79th minute. These results make Liverpool reply to a 0-3 defeat in the first leg, and has the right to swing to the final.

The course of the match
Liverpool immediately pressed Barcelona. In the first minute, Xherdan Shaqiri immediately threatened the opponent's goal with a kick that still deviated slightly to the right side.

Goals for Liverpool! In the seventh minute, the pressure of the hosts paid off. Origi tore the goalkeeper Marc-Andre Ter Stegen, after utilizing Jordan Henderson's throwing ball. Until the first round is complete, no additional goals are created. Liverpool while winning 1-0 over Barcelona.

In the second half, Liverpool pressed Barcelona back from the start. By entering Giorginio Wijnaldum replacing Andy Robertson, the host game was more bite.


Not in vain, in the 54th minute, Wijnaldum scored Liverpool's second goal. From the left side, Trent-Alexander Arnold released a horizontal crossing, which Wijnaldum could strike as a goal. The hosts lead 2-0.

Only need one more goal, Liverpool increasingly eager to attack Barcelona. And Barcelona's nightmare came two minutes later, when the hosts scored the third goal which made the aggregate draw 3-3.

In the 56th minute, Wijnaldum became a hero at Anfield. His header, utilizing Shaqiri's measured crossing from the left side, made the ball go into the top right corner of the Barcelona goal without being able to anticipate Ter Stegen. Liverpool were 3-0 up, avenging defeat in the first leg. The visitors team was quite overwhelmed to reply to Liverpool's goals.

In the 79th minute, Liverpool got their fourth goal. Starting from a corner kick, Alexander-Arnold kicked the ball when the Barcelona player was not ready. The Origi that was aimed, immediately struck the ball into the goal without being able to be guarded by Ter Stegen. Liverpool lead 4-0.

In the remaining time of the game, Barcelona was unable to reduce the lag. Final score 4-0 for the Red victory, and entitled to the final with a 4-3 aggregate.
